All Hallows Day

November 1st used to be a holiday in the USA, All Saints Day (All Hallows Day), All Souls Day. Now kids don’t even know why Halloween is celebrated, except that on Halloween they get to play dress up and go door to door and get free candy. They have no clue that it’s a religious holiday. And ignorant parents want to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October instead of its actual date, October 31st. Why bother celebrating it at all if you’re going to mess with its religious importance? It’s a big holiday in lots of countries. It’s a celebration of every soul who have left us. In my country, parties in the cemetery all day long.

What’s next? Celebrating Christmas Eve but not Christmas?

I’m not a religious person by any means. I just think people should know why they’re celebrating a holiday. There’s nothing evil about Halloween and All Saints Day should always be sacred. We all have loved ones who have moved on from their earthly bodies. All Saints Day celebrates them and we should remember and honor our dearly departed on their special day.
